A group of crypto enthusiasts and traders launched Green Dildo Coin (DILDO), a meme coin intended to be lighthearted and perceived as a joke, in late July to protest what they describe as a "toxic" environment in the crypto world. According to the group's spokesman, who spoke exclusively to USA TODAY Sports, many smaller players in the space are struggling to keep up with the influx of influencers and scammers.

Since CC was drafted I’ve recorded all Fever games. I usually watch same day or during the live broadcast/ I ff though a lot.

I think I’m done. Way too much fuckery and incompetence

I like to record Fever games too. But watching those games live for me is unbearable. Of course I fast forward through all the ads, pre-game shows and half-time shows.

The coach's challenges and/or replay reviews are ridiculously long and I feel are unnecessary. I skip all those. The end of games with all the timeouts and fouls are terrible too. I even try to FF through all the free throws in the game. I don't need to see them shoot free throws. The score will tell me if they made the free throw or not.
 
I’m out. No matter what side you fall on it is all exhausting. I wish all those young women the best, but I am done.

In my case the gatekeepers won. Congratulations(sarcasm).

It was right around the time when Alysa Thomas put her fist to Caitlin Clark's throat while Clark was lying on the ground that I gave up watching Fever games for a couple of weeks. Was not even recording them. Felt like the WNBA had no understanding of what the fans actually wanted to see and it was slowly killing the golden goose. I dont want see Caitlin Clark get preferential treatment but it was obvious defenders are trying to beat up the best players sometimes for very petty reasons.

Ironically the first game I decided to skip recording Caitlin scored 45 points and had 10 assists and the Fever went on a roll after that. Of course the first game I decided to start recording again, the Fever lost to the Aces.

No foul called on Alysa Thomas who had her husband/wife pinning Caitlin to the floor on the other side

I believe Thomas kicked her in the crotch on the way to the fist punch to the throat

No foul called

Until after the game, perhaps the next day, they accessed a flagrant foul and meaningless fine on Thomas,
I believe

Difficult to comprehend the refs attitude toward Caitlin

And the players attitude toward Caitlin and Sophie Cunningham



 
To be fair both Caitlin and Sophie Cunningham sometimes tend to provoke and escalate things when maybe they should just keep their mouth shut. Caitlin especially does her fair share of whining to the refs.

But that does not mean Caitlin does not have a legetimate gripe. You are not paranoid if everybody really is out to get you. Some of this rough behavior does seem to be personal. It goes beyond just being competative and it does seem like both Caitlin and Sophie are being targeted.

There have been only two even remotely redeeming things in the history of WNBA.

1) The dildo-gate hilarity

2) The hundreds of hours of Benny Hill soundtracked blooper reels online.

It's worse than 3rd grade rec basketball, folks...what else is there if you don't have a bunch of Days of Our Lives drama? It's literally the only thing that gets people to tune in. After Clarkmania died out they had to invent a reality show bullshit angle like they do in pro wrestling otherwise no one would pay attention.

Since the NBA funds the WNBA, I'm suprised Silver hasn't grown really tired of this and put the hammer down.

If he did that he'd immediately be branded a woman hating misogynist racist baby killing degenerate nazi on twitter, then his wife would eventually cave and divorce him, he'd lose his kids, and be living in a van down by the river.

Or...he can keep lying through his teeth about how women's basketball is actually a good product and not a continuous Benny Hill blooper reel akin to 1st grade rec ball, and keep raking in millions. I mean, he doesn't have a whole lot of options tbh have you seen the guy? He looks like he's been in an alien movie make-up trailer for 8 hours.
