Why are we taking grad transfers all of a sudden?

First he ask why we take them,then he says he has no problem with teams taking them. So what's the problem Lightning.If we can pick someone up that can help our team and wants to be a Hawkeye its a win win.Doesnt matter what we did in the past.

I have no problem with the rule. I have no problem taking them. I wondered why all of a sudden. Did you go to the same school as Deano?

Nothing can help you read and comprehend a written sentence. Nice try. I didn't know how old the rule was but at least I didn't attempt to read the rule first and then screw it up. That's your skill set.
 
Graduate transfers are like JUCO's. It's a roll of the dice if their a good fit and worth bringing in.Not everyone wants to come here also.

Well, first off there has to be a need. Secondly, there has to be a player to fit that need. Thirdly, there has to be a mutual interest between Iowa and the player. Finally, there has to be a good fit.

Look at the 3 we have taken - there has been a big need for all of them with the exception of Butler where there is a moderate need for proven depth. But who turns down a 1300 yard a year RB knocking on your door.

Honestly, with the outside perception of KF, I could see that kids didn't see Iowa as an option until they brought in Ron. Whether that perception is accurate, I don't think we will ever know. But I am sure that the vocal KF detractors think they know.

I will wear it as a badge of honor that I can't comprehend your stupidity. Bitching about a lack of grad transfers 15 years ago when they weren't even a thing then is beyond stupid even for you. To top it off, I'd bet you couldn't name 10 impact grad transfer over the last 10 years in college football.

I'm not bitching about it. My OP was a curiosity about who's idea it was to become more active in that arena. My "follow up question" was a smart ass response to a smart ass post. You already wear your stupidity as a badge. Everyone can plainly see your inability to register an "s" on the end of the word "year", to indicate a plurality in count. They can also see that it's not my stupidity that put the "s" there, as I'm sure every other poster but you, does so on a regular basis, to words in sentences all the time.

The first time I saw this transfer go through for the wide receiver, I had a flashback to "Hoosiers" and Gene Hackman telling Dennis Hopper not to get drunk because "with Jimmy we are firing on all cyclinders, we are going to be tough to beat.". I had this vision of KF, talking to a drunk Gary Barta, telling him..."you have to get over the lesbian thing, with Quarrells locked down, we are going to be firing on all cylinders, and are going to be tough to beat."
