Which 1-year guy would you like to have back?

We had both of these guys for 1 year, but you get one of these guys for 1 more year. Which would you choose?

I'm a football guy all the way and am a very casual basketball fan, so I'd love to see Gronowski have a full spring and summer this year.

I went with Stirtz because he is simply harder to replace. Not saying that replacing Gronowski is going to be easy. But Stirtz is a first round draft pick and you don't get those very often.

I just care about football a lot more than I care about BB. Also, I think we saw peak Stirtz, and I think MG was just starting to get there. Having him operating like he did over the last couple games, but with better WR and for a full season, would be great.

Interesting poll. I went with Gron for just a couple reasons but admittedly had to think about it a bit. The reason I went with Gron is because Iowa has been in such a slump at the QB position. I would also like to see what he could do with another year under his belt in the program. Also, McCollum has proven he can develop solid PG as he did even prior to Stirtz. Ben also does a good job of adjusting his style of play to his rosters.

But as pointed out, getting a solid and smart PG is difficult.

What makes this a great question is that Gronowski was absolutely rolling by the end of the year - clearly hitting his stride and playing his best football (...albiet pretty banged up).

I love Stirtz, but he takes up all the oxygen on the court. Ben's system will not grow until he has a more balanced team with multiple talented players. Stirtz was a bridge player to the greatness that will come IMHO.

Would love to see Gron fully healthy and with a year under his belt. He was getting dangerous down the stretch. That's my vote.

Oooh, that's a super tough one. I went with Gronowksi. He really hit his stride mid-year and he just kept getting better.

Here's why:

Iowa 37, Wisky 0
Iowa 41, Minny 3
Iowa 40, Bugeaters 16
Iowa 34, Vandy 27

Iowa absolutely dominated three huge rivals, and outscored (!) a very good Vandy club to win a decent bowl.

Stritz would be the obvious choice, but another year of Gron? Sign me up.
