From Fran's arrogance and rants to Margaret's famous performances at West High and Connor's punkage they're not the most charming family. You'd think after Patrick's battle a little humility would sneak in.

Remember one of Frans assistants Spurlock? After one of Connors tweets he replied to it answering the question he laid out about why Hawk fans still yell 'Go Hawks' at him.. Of course Connor deleted it soon after and that's why the whole yelling 'Go Hawks' at Connor has became such a thing and I hope it never dies.

Well for starters, Oscar Robertson and Patrick Ewing have won NCAA rings.

As for the Maravich comp, Pete was an exciting player with in the gym range, great court vision, and a flair for the spectacular. That's where I make the CC comp.

I definitely should have remembered the Ewing championship, my bad, and that is a demonstration of why you shouldn't rely on AI summaries for your searches!

But near as I can tell, The Big O went to a couple of Final Fours but didn't win a title (that is what wikipedia tells me). That is a CC parallel right there. Combine that with a guy who put up mind-boggling stats, was famously a little TOO interested in his stat line, and who was known as a bit of a difficult teammate, and it lines up pretty good. I think CC and Oscar are/were difficult for different reasons (he was prickly, she is more self-obsessed), but I would imagine being teammates with either of them is challenging while still appreciating that both will make you and your team better.

You were correct about the big O. He was a senior on their second year place NCAA team in 1960 (to Bobby Knight's Ohio State team) and thus would have missed their back to back in 1961-62.

I will say this however. What has she ever won championship wise on any level? I called her on some Facebook poll a while back "the most overrated athlete in American sports". She has set or will set records for turnovers that probably will never be broken.. she's basically a female Pete Maravich.
