There is a press conference coming up that will likely result in the termination of Chris Doyle. Most of the disgruntled former players and Wadley's mom also believe that Brian Ferentz, the epitome of "white privilege," needs to receive punishment as well. We know Kirk's not going to fire the guy, but Barta has no choice but to step in and prevent nepotism from protecting Brian.
So who is the next man in when it comes to play calling? We know Kirk has never been referred to as an "offensive minded" xs and os guy. Ken O'Keefe called plays at Iowa for over a decade, but was shown the door in that role. Polasek was the offensive coordinator at North Dakota State for a few years and they saw a lot of success. Of course, NDSU had success before and after Polasek.
Does Iowa promote a black coach for the role, given the times? Copeland has done a great job with WRs. Levar Woods has been on the staff for ages.
