Jubilation to Dejection.
Comments about Virginia Loss:
Three Point Shooting: Iowa missed McCabe as she was the only reliable 3 point shooter. Wright only other option. The last three games Iowa couldn't throw the 3pointer in the ocean. Deal was a great disappointment in that category.
Free Throws: Iowa loss this game because of missed free throws. To miss two of four free throws after the unobserved foul on Stulke was a killer.
Coaching: Jensen needed to press Virginia once Iowa had the 9 point lead. It has been a problem all season giving up leads. Virginia ran one play three times in a row in the 4th quarter where a forward had a short curl jumper and Jan or someone on the staff didn't make the adjustment.
The team exceeded expectations and will be better experience wise in 2027. Many of the next years opponents are losing upperclasswomen. Other than J Houston the freshmen class was uninspiring.
