We have to have Cezar!!!

A lot of people bash him for being a showboat but anyone that can lay 46 on Mater Dei that has a team of D-1 players on the floor and on the bench is an absolute winner. We need that confident gunslinger that will get fans yelling and bring swagger to Carver. I'm not saying this is a must get, but I will be drinking the Hawkeye coolade if he becomes a Hawk.

I would love Iowa to land Cezar.

But I would be just as happy to see Iowa land Eli Carter. I would be slightly less happy, but still pleased if Iowa landed Shaq Stokes, or that athletic SG that I can't remember his name, Chiveous or something.

I love flash! Pete Maravich was my idol. The last time we had a flashy PG was Andre Woolridge but Cezar has enough shake and bake to fill Carver for four years.

I think Fran is a good judge of talent. He has brought in two playes on this years team. Cartwright and Basabe, and they are our two best players, and he did that late in the recruting game.

I believe Cezar is an important recruit, not only becuase he is a good ball player, but Fran has made him an obvious target. To get his targeted recruits is HUGE.

Alford and Lickliter often missed out on their top targets and had to settle on fall back recruits.

And for those that aren't familar with Mater Dei, they are the #7 team in the nation and are currently 27-2 against very good competition.

Fans going to the game, the crowd needs to have the blown up faces of Jarryd and Cezar. During the game honor Jarryd holding him high and cheering all you can for him, during timeouts and half show all the love you can for Cezar.

I don't care that he is a showboat...with Carwright entrenched as the starter, Cezar could join him in the lineup or be the player off the bench that provides a spark or excitement from the bench that Iowa has lacked for longer than I am willing to remember. If they get Cezar, Carter or Stokes any of these players will be that player off the bench that can come in with confidence and lead by example instead of not trying to make a mistake.

is this the second coming of Jesus? sheesh people, no way one player can turn around an entire team. we already have a starting PG. not to mention he is 5'11. he wouldnt even play much... maybe 5-10 mins off the bench.

Yeah, you've got Lucious now, you don't need Cezar. Seriously, why do you keep hanging on to the delusion that we don't know you're a Cyclone fan?

If MR. Guerrero can take that game to the Big Ten in Iowa City, Carver Hawkeye Arena would definitely become Cezar's Palace!!

His game is so fitting for Fran's offensive, I can't stop drooling at the thought of him smokin team after team in Carver! er....The Palace ;)

I think we can best impress the guy by showing our collective man-love for Jarryd Cole. Show him what Hawkeye-nation is really all about and what he can look forward to for the next four years.

It also wouldn't hurt if mother-nature could give us some warmer temps. So-Cal to Iowa has got to be a shock.

We don't HAVE to have anyone. Panting after ANY high school athlete in any sport is unbecoming. But then again, given the state of Iowa men's basketball, I understand where folks are coming from with Cezar. From what I know about the kid, it would be AMAZING if he chose the Hawkeyes. I think he would flourish under White Magic, and ONE kid like that can, indeed, make a basketball team. So here's hoping the Hawkeyes fight Purdue to the last second and that young Cezar finds Iowa City a place to call home...but no need to crumble if it doesn't work out that way.

If Iowa is going to turn the corner Fran is going to have to win one of these recruiting battles. Don't know if this is when it will happen, but we can hope.

I heartily endorse this thought.

exactly. you know eventually we'll get one of these kids, just a matter of who and when.

Yeah, people shouldn't be excited about the getting a visit from a recruit that would be the highest rated recruit we've had since Horner/Brunner in like 2002. I guess maybe Tyler Smith, but that was shady and he only stayed one year.
