Trevon Young to LA Rams

After everything he went through (self-inflicted or otherwise), and the injuries he battled at Louisville, I was happy to see him get his name called. Regardless of the "what if" questions about him never wearing black and gold, it's cool to see Des Moines kids make the League.

For those that don't remember Young, he is from Des Moines Lincoln, class of 2013. In the spring of his junior year, he blew up as an athlete, even earning a 4-star recruiting rating from 247Sports. He picked Iowa over Iowa State before the start of his senior year.

From what I understand, he started running with a bad crowd after letting the stars go to his head. He was arrested (public intox after partying in an abandoned building, iirc) and had his scholarship pulled before signing day. Later that summer, in a separate incident, he was shot twice. He would up at Iowa Western CC where he absolutely dominated on the field and got a bunch of new offers. He ended up picking Louisville over Iowa, and from all accounts has matured tremendously on and off the field in the past 4 years.
