He obviously performed above and beyond at the DII and at Drake and at Iowa, with the latter two being small sample sizes. One would presume that includes identifying and recruiting talent to his program. On paper, he did pretty good out of the portal both years at Iowa, but going after this type of guy is a next level get.
He strikes me as a guy that can sell a kid on his vision and program like few can. Yes, money is always going to be one of the biggest factors, but a lot of programs have moved away from recruiting as many high school kids and want to spend heavy in the portal. My guess is that Iowa can pay market for this kid or similar kids like him. Heavy competition, but we have learned quickly not to bet against BM.
