I believe this was discussed after we beat them in Iowa City but tonight was just the icing on the cake. Up 20+ with under 5 to go and your starters are still in the game? Stay classy Izz, stay classy.
With as out of whack as they've been, I'm sure Izzo is desperate to get this team clicking (or at least close to it) before the BTT.
this is the answer.
That'd sound good except I do remember he had a quote about letting Lick go like it was some crime. Lick was obviously not getting the job done here. Everybody with half a brain knew that...most coaches simply wouldn't say anything in that situation.
Don't know if he liked having an easy win on the schedule or what but it makes it interesting.
We are a 10 days before post season tournaments.
Sorry i should have added another paragraph that went something like this:
We are 10 days before the Big Ten tournament. Izzo is going to make sure that his guys are in shape and running the plays right before than

I read nothing into that. The post season is right around the corner and MSU will probably be in one of the tourny's. I'm glad he left them in. Here's a thought, maybe instead of complaining that the other team kept thier starters in despite a 20 point lead we should just try not to be 20 points down with 5 to play.

I thought Izzo's postgame comment about giving Lick the credit after the first game was BS, but I don't have a problem with running up the score at any level above High-School.
