The cure for what ails ya

Hey guys! It's Monday am and I gotta be honest, I feel great! I was almost to my office when my alarm to wake up went off. My general disposition is positive and I'm ready to tackle this week head on! Why you may ask? Because I didn't watch one minute of the game this weekend!! For the first time in at least a dozen years I didn't watch an Iowa football game. My entire Saturday wasn't focused around where I was going to watch said Iowa game. It was f***ing glorious!

I've hated Ferentz guts for 10 years and while I gave him all due credit last year, I still hated his guts and knew he would quickly go back into coaching like something Trump would grab, mode. Sure enough, here we are. 3 games into a season following a 12-0 season he was skillfully able to erase any good will he earned last year because as we all know, he is an absolutely awful gameday coach.

Up until Saturday my love for the Hawkeyes program was strong enough to endure him pissing me off for 3 hours every week and boring myself to death by watching every game. That ended Saturday. I had never felt more apathetic about a game or its outcome as it relates to Iowa in my life. I've threatened not to watch several times but always ended up watching because of my love for the program. I finally followed through Saturday and boy am I glad I did!

The bottom line is Kirk is here to stay. Barta ensured that. You all have your tipping points as I had mine. When you hit yours will be up to you, but I wanted to just let everyone know that it's really great on the other side! Don't be scared. Someone will let you know if Kirk gets fired or finally decides to coach in a manner that has a remnant of testosterone, allowing you to return to your love of Iowa football. In the meantime, Franball starts Friday and I'm excited to watch an Iowa team with a coach who plays to win, not to not lose!

Go Hawks! F*** Ferentz!

Hey, I agree with your sentiment - there are tons of better things to do for 3 hours than KF Hawkeye football.

But, if you're really feeling so great Monday just because of not watching the game Saturday, maybe your Sunday routine could use some changes as well? As far as I can tell, my Hawkeye hangover is usually gone by Monday win, lose, or embarrassment.
