Although Iowa had a dismal record this year, I think it's fun to watch. Iowa has some really good athletes on this team. Iowa may have lost a lot of games this year, but I love how we thunder dunk on other teams. Not boring at all. I can't remember a time when we've had so many athletes on the team, maybe BJ Armstrong days. This team will be exciting to watch in 2 years. It won't take Fran more than 2 more years to have Iowa back on track!

Who are these athletes you speak of? I can name two: Basabe and Cartwright. The rest of the team are nice role players with borderline big ten athleticism, perhaps even borderline D1 skills. The win Saturday was great, but we need lots of help to start making comparisons to the BJ days. 3-4 guys off that team played in the league if memory serves.

I would say May is very athletic, but lacks skills. Archie is moderately athletic but also lacks some skills. Overall we are not an athletic team yet. Fran will fix that in time.

Maybe it's the style of play then. Maybe old Hawk teams would go for the sure layup instead of dunking it. Sir Jam-a-lot was awesome if he got one dunk a game. This team and style is a more athletic than the past. Again, fun to watch!

I agree the tempo Fran runs is much more amusing than what we have seen lately.
