As a long time OL coach, I have to go with Tyler Linderbaum and it's not close. Just amazing what that guy could do. You just don't see centers get out in front of a play like he did. You don't see centers bulldoze guys like he did. You NEVER see centers do both as well as he did.
Robert Gallery is probably the closest, but that may be because it had been a while since we had O-line U type players.

Favorite doesn’t have to be the best.
On field it’s Kaden Wetjen for me.
Never seen anyone turn a crowd electric like KW walking on the field to catch a punt right after a big 3rd down stop. Kinnick just had a buzz and a low rumble going on when he was out there that no one else had. Not even Dwight.
Favorite all around Hawkeye in general? Angerer by 57 miles.

The 2002 offensive line. I know that is a bit of a cheat. But, that was the most unstoppable force KF has ever produced. They could announce they were running a stretch to the right and still no one would touch Freddie until he was in the secondary.

The effort and attention to detail of a KF-line are so impressive. When you can combine that with some elite talent, magic happens.

When they changed the cut block rule 10+ years ago it took some time for KF and CO to adjust. It made zone blocking a lot harder. KF is still the best in the biz. I am excited for this year's offense. There are some pieces along the line and at the skill positions that have a chance to play on Sundays.

Matt Roth all day and twice on Sunday.
Sanders brought the culture change, Roth brought the swagger. I was at the 2004 senior night vs Wisconsin and Roth easily got the largest ovation among the seniors introduced from the crowd. And there were a lot of seniors in that class that helped usher in the Ferentz era.
