After watching the hawks lose to nebby most of the time in the modern era since 1979, many times by big lopsided scores, it is so nice to have this current 6 game winning streak. There are way more things more important than football, always has been, but a rivalry/next door neighbor kind of series does get ones blood up.
That is why the loss in 2014 hurt so much. you all know how the series sort of turned in 2013 with a hawk beatdown then the hawks had two 17 point leads in the 2014 game. You know a couple of first half turnovers that were mental mistakes and the hawks have a 20 or 24 point halftime lead.
Then not one but two punts that were low and long and you know the rest.
If the hawks won that game and had the 8 game win streak would it be a rivalry? Would nebby fans etc be as obnoxious with and 8 game losing streak to Iowa?
