Whenever I get the chance and am down to one dart with just one bull to win....

I turn my head and look away when I throw that last dart.

It's a brilliant move. Because nobody will be surprised when you don't get it. You can totally miss the entire board and nobody bats an eyebrow.

Yah especially with the sense we might be a year away. Even without that, it's not like anyone would expect Iowa to repeat under Kirk. Or that Iowa would somehow then be cemented as a perennial contender (like people seem to think Indiana has now reached that kind of status) under a 72 year old coach. FFS, if Kirk won the big one this year, I'm pretty sure he'd bow out and hang it up. It'd be one of the greatest mic drops in all of sports.

Which would mean a coaching change.

No. Can a good old dog learn and improve? Typically no but there are anomalies. I think this year will be a good indicator for what we might see for the remainder of what is left of Kirk's tenure here.
