It was initially believed Brandon Snyder would miss the '17 season after undergoing knee surgery in the spring. The junior safety has recovered well and could be back this fall:

I was in Larchwood and talked to two of his relatives at a baseball tournament a few weeks ago. From what they said it wasn't a painful deal (which is consistent with what Rob said in the article). Didn't sound like they (family) were super concerned and I'd think they would know as well as anyone.

So...luckily it wasn't one of the devastating ones. If there can be such a thing as a minor AFL tear it seems this was one of them. I think there are still the career-enders that happen
