We received our first live look at Iowa's newest players during Saturday's Kids Day practice. After viewing it, HN's Rob Howe lists his Top 10 true freshmen that could help the Hawkeyes in '17:

I just went with 10 because it's a clean number. I think there will be seven but there could be fewer. I think it's a function of their talent plus need. Three are receivers.

Even 7 is a healthy number. That bodes well for the future. I do like the direction this program is heading. I'm looking forward to what a Brian Ferentz led offense will show this year. I have a sneaky feeling we're going to like it.

I like that the staff seems to trust freshmen more than it has in the past. I'd like it to trust them a little more but I'm happy about the progress.
