Put Wadley in the slot on third down

Wadley now will get less touches which means he has less chance of a serious injury, all which helps his draft outlook. He'll still be the primary back and get enough touches though to impress NFL scouts. Win-win for AW.
Wanna bet on Wadley getting less touches? He'll get more rushes than he did last yr I bet. He had 168 rushes plus 36 receptions last yr. I bet he hits 200 rushes with about the same 30-40 receptions. I don't think Wadleys work load for next year was going to change Butler or not. Butler will get close to 180-190 overall touches is my guess. Should be a fun season. The Oline should be dominant and with two stud RBs (maybe more Young and Toks might be solid too but they just won't get as many touches) tearing it up. So long as the passing game can keep the safeties from cheating into the box all the time

For the Love of God all I really ask for is just don't Damon Powell him. I know, there were stories floating around about him not learning routes, couldn't block. But the kid was a burner and could have at least ran some fly or quick outs or something. I can really only remember one kick ass play he had.

You missed the part that said, "No tackling required, just breathe on him, he'll fall"

After the events of the past week, I think its best for Akrum Wadley to reconsider his future and his decision to return to Iowa. It is still not too late for him to enter the NFL Supplemental Draft, and after all the stuff thats happened as far as changing the offensive coordinator, the new Quarterbacks coach, and bringing in another player to take his spot in the 2-deeps, it is clear that he has no other choice. Thanks Akrum for all you have done for Iowa Football and good luck at the next level.

This would be quite a shock to the season prep. I'm not hearing anything else about it, so I'll assume it isn't happening.

Honestly, who knew Wadley had that many receptions without looking it up?

I could point to some games here and there the blowout at PSU comes to mind, but I had no clue he had that many. GD loves the wheel route; however, he never went to it that much at Iowa.

I am still blown away he had that many catches. What was I watching last year? I knew Wadley was capable of being Reggie Bush like now I know.

Assuming everyone is healthy, don't we look a little dangerous on third down with Vandeberg at WR, Wadley in the slot and the new RB from Nevada at running back on third down (who is a great blocker). Doesn't that seem obvious?

Hey, why wait until 3rd down. I think they'll move him around a lot.

...Wadley in the slot...Doesn't that seem obvious?
If they didn't do that last year with Mitchell (who was born for that kind of play) there's no way in hell they're going to do it with Wadley. He's already going to get beat to shit this year with no Daniels, he doesn't need to pick up extra shots from linebackers and DBs.
