Potential schools for T Banks

According to HawkeyesWire, Bank's potential schools are Gonzaga, LSU, Miss. State, and Oklahoma. It goes on to say that Oklahoma may no longer be an option. I'm glad he's getting interest from schools who I assume have money to spend. I hope Iowa doesn't regret bringing him back due to injuries or other factors. I wish him well.

All of these players flooding back into the system in MBB and football risk stunting the growth of the young guys on the current roster. I respect Ben for sticking with his guys that have been there all offseason and not bringing back a veteran who is productive, but has a lower ceiling. Its time to see what highly touted guys like Thompson, Coon and Harris can do, rather than running back another one of the Drake guys.

I like Tavion and his contribution last year.

I don't see him going to any of these schools, he's not that good.

Yes, he's go0t some talent but I don't see him going to the NBA.

That'd be my top choice amongst those too. Few is a good coach. I saw his speech the other day to get in the HOF. He's one of the good ones I think anyway

It's all so situational for each school. What do you have coming back what's your expectations how would the player fit? Banks is interesting cause his impact for 1 yr could possibly be great. However if he did come back where it could be the wrong move is if he eats up 25 plus mins/gm that'd dip into what Thompson/Harris would have available to play and that pisses either of them off enough to want to leave. Trading 1 extra yr of Banks for 3 plus yrs for those 2 and whatever their ceilings might be isn't worth it to coach it doesn't seem like.

And that's all not even factoring in the $ side of it I have no idea if the well is dry or if Iowa coulda pay Banks whatever it'd be he woulda wanted. Maybe it was all about that to coach too or a combination of it all it's hard to say.

I woulda been ok with Banks coming back cause I just have faith in Ben making the right decisions on such things. I think he coulda made it all work. But I also am more then ok with him not bringing him back and rolling with what he's got. I wish Banks well he's a hell of a guy
