There were many times in live action or on replays where hawks off the ball were not even trying to look at where the ball is/was. One good example was a 2nd half blow by from the top of the arc by an Ore player who drove uncontested to a dunk. He drove it about 20 feet or more.
On replay there were 3 hawks down around the lane who had no this guy was driving it in.
That is just bad defensive technique to not somehow know where the guy you are guarding is while still seeing the ball even out of the corner of your eye.
Definitely need some basic defensive skills improved along with quickness and speed to improve this defense
