He wouldn't last one practice with ManyawuWith McDermott retiring, Iowa success and desperately needing productive big, Owen Freeman re-Hawks?
Does Ben McC want him with his defensive deficiencies?

IN HER 2ND SEASON!! Keep it real, man.Fair but come on, man. "Playing to get into the Sweet 16" is some real spin. They won one game in the tourney and we're bounced as a #2 seed on their home floor.

She's been at Iowa 26 years as associate Head Coach. Her team was the #2 seed playing on their home court.IN HER 2ND SEASON!! Keep it real, man.
I honestly don't understand some fan's expectations. Just delirious at times.

Yep, shit happens. #2 Iowa St years ago lost to Hampton. Virginia and I think Purdue went down as #1 seeds. Shit happens at times, especially with a young team. She's been at Iowa 26 years as associate Head Coach. Her team was the #2 seed playing on their home court.
I wouldn't sleep on Jirak either. He played a small role this season, I could see him making a big jump.My afternoon cup of coffee thought...
Next year and in our program's future with McCollum, just Imagine how a great big man will transform our whole team? With the offseason, tranfer portal opening up, etc. - it's easy to think about a new PG and replacing Bennet Stirtz (not only as our PG for next season... but as a long term PG asset). But how about a great, impactful big man? and I'm thinking particularly on defense. A rim protector, high level rebounder, physical presence.
Just think of the way McCollum (in 1 year) put his stamp on our program: This is how we're gonna play, this how we're gonna defend, compete, etc. And we did it without a big man? I'm salivating about our level of team defense with an upgrade big and a rim protector.

Would love to see a guy like Ryan Kulkbrenner from Creighton a couple years back. Great defender and dangerous enough on offense. There was not much fear going into Iowa's lane this year. A big would be nice.My afternoon cup of coffee thought...

Got to give props to 40 forever!! I made all 3 of my boys wear 40 at least one season of thier sports career. I vowed I'd do that the day of the accidentEspecially with teams like McCollum's who really put an emphasis on great defense and toughness. I would hate getting a player to that level of playing great defense, having them leave, then have to start over with new players coming in. Such an advantage if they stay and can just build on it. Cooper Koch stayed and he gelled right in and played better defense.
Nicely done with the boys.Got give props to 40 forever!! I made all 3 of my boys wear 40 at least one season of thier sports career. I vowed I'd do that the day of the accident
Chris Street epitomized a genuinely nice hard working Iowa young man & great teammate. Kudos to his parents for how they brought him up. Such a freak and unfortunate accident.Nicely done with the boys.
Yes, that will never leave my posts.
