Even if we could afford to get rid of Ferentz this year, it's not a very good year to line up for a coach. We'd be at least 3rd in line for a coach willing to come to cold weather.

As far as BigTen coaches go, I can see why Beckman, Fitz, Flood, and Hazel are safe, but how in the world did Kevin Wilson survive at Indiana? 1-7 in year 4? Never had a bowl eligible team in 4 years? He should be gone.

Indiana has to fire their coach.

Iowa should, but won't.

Mich - gotta be Harbaugh or Les Miles and will be the highest paid coach in the country. We wouldn't be in the running for either of those two.

Nebraska will be competing with Iowa if it comes to a firing here.

All I'll say is this.

If Kirk Ferentz won 9 games per year for the past five years and went nuts on the sidelines every game, I'd take it in a heartbeat. No questions asked.

Instead, Iowa has won 6.8 games a year for the past five years and all we get is "That's Football".

Indiana had major issues at quarterback.
Indiana has improved every year, until Sudfeld (QB) was lost for the season.
Totally, different team without Sudfeld taking snaps.

IMO, next year, is a make or break season for Wilson.
