Pavia

I hope Diego Pavia is reading this thread to learn some life lessons......

It might help him stay out of trouble running that car wash in Albuquerque.

Do as I say not as I.... Oh F it lets go get high.

Pavia was throwing passes to Wetjen at the combine one of em was a really pretty ball on the sideline. If the dude wasn't a total headcase I'd say Pavia should have a shot at being a pro. But there's so many red flags. The only teams I could see seriously giving him a shot are the Browns and Raiders. The Raiders are taking Mendoza and the Browns have a full room of misfit Qbs already. So maybe the Jets take a flier on him....? If they do it won't be till late in the draft. And that wouldn't be a good fit to say the least...

Actually it makes perfect sense. Manziel made all the mistakes. He's said many times "don't do what I did. I blew my opportunity". He'll recognize the inner D-bag in Pavia and be able to call him out.
Pavia also doesn't sound or act like a guy who'll listen to anything remotely resembling good advice. Guys like Pavia don't like being called out by anyone. Even if he does end up coming off as a guy who matured himself a little, I have zero confidence it'll last beyond the first time he gets a slice of humble pie in a practice. The NFL is nothing but humble pie for rookies.

My prediction...

UDFA, practice squad, cut, car salesman and a shitty podcast that no one listens to.

Maybe I'm wrong but I would put significant money on it.

With his performance at the draft and him opting out of several events I don’t see how anyone drafts him. Like you said UDFA is the only route for him and he will need to be in a perfect system for his skill set and get some lucky bounces for him to be on a roster. Even a practice squad spot for him will be tough to get

Maybe a Canadian football fullback, like Drew Tate?

Could be. I'm just saying a guy like Manziel who's been down that path might have a better chance to connect with him than a lot of others.

That said Pavia looks taylor made for the CFL. Loves to run around and throw it.

This is the second year in a row where a talented college QB is going to be wildly underdrafted or not drafted at all because he doesn't understand he is an arrogant kid playing in a grown ups world. I have kids this age. They think that because its a different world and times are different, they don't have to wear ties, be respectful, pretend they don't know everything, etc. "Why should I have to do all that crap, Dad, its not 1995." Because, kid, the people that are making the decision on whether to hire you are my age or even older, and they don't play by your Gen Z rules.

As Fry said, start a podcast or be an influencer or go be Mr. Beast, but if you want to get into the adult clubhouse, you have to act like an adult.
