Yeah, he was the guy that was a real waffler that was great at giving back-handed compliments, sometimes more than 1 at a time. He'd say things like "Iowa has a solid set of returning players and seems to be set up for an 8-4 season and another mid-tier bowl, which is the consistency an improving Cyclone program would like to have."
