Oregon thread

Oregon didn't play badly -- Iowa played really well, but it was still a 10 pt game with 6 min left.
I thought the Hawks looked very rested at the beginning of this game -- feet were moving like crazy on defense and just really impressive.
Oregon had the right idea at the start of the 2nd half: drive it and drive it and drive it. With no rim protector, once you get past Iowa's guards on Defense -- which isn't that hard -- it's a basket or foul.
But when Stirtz is on his 3 pt game, the Hawks can be very good.
After watching the women earlier today, what a pleasure to watch an Iowa team not make silly, unforced turnovers! I'd love to see Iowa's turnover # for this game -- had to be under 10.
Hope Banks was held out the 2nd half for some precautionary reason.
When your second leading scorer doesn't play the 2nd half and you win by 18 -- really shows Iowa's depth.

ESPN box score says we had five turnovers. Stirring with seven assists and no turnovers.

Hawks had a single turnover in the first half, and 5 for the game.
Shot 59% from the field; 45% from 3; & 80% from the free throw line.
Stirtz was amazing: 32 points on 12 for 15 from the field; 4 of 6 from 3; hit all 4 FTs; 7 assists & 2 steals. The talking heads couldn't say enough nice things about him, and the team.
(A much more enjoyable watch than the women's game earlier. 19 turnovers resulting in 18 UCLA points, and outscored in the paint 56 to 26.)
