There were others. But they weren't remotely an NIT team from the first Bracketology or Bubble Watch reports from the get go. People were basing their world spinning opinions on overreaction to bad losses.

Illinois has lost 5 of 9 and gives up too many points. Then they would play Houston in Houston.

Actually, Iowa was never an NIT team, because bubble-busted B1G teams have to accept a bid to The Crown or they can't accept a bid to the NIT.
