Northwestern's New Practice Facility

Geesh that won't help them with recruiting at all... Good for them. Anyone want to build a pond around ours as big as Lake Michigan?

Wow. That is really neat.

Contrast that with Illinois's facilities. I just saw their practice field on the BTN. EEEEEEESH!! Looked like my HS practice facilities, back in some Farmer's back 40 acres. I think I could see a silo or farmstead in he background on TV. I think there was literally a gravel road in the background. I remember seeing the same thing last year.

They have got to upgrade their facilities to have a chance. Awful!

I think NW would be a sweet college to go to. It just seems to have that small college feel and may not have all the drinking/partying issues major universities have. If either of my boys can meet their academic requirements, may have to think about it in the future.

They have a shot at being the "Stanford of the Midwest" for sure. Fitz is a really good coach and a perfect fit for them. He's a guy I enjoy rooting against from a competitive standpoint but there's not really a bad word to be said about the guy...

Yea, that's kind of the way I view him.

Yes, in August, with a breeze off Lake Michigan, it's wonderful. In October, with a gale off Lake Michigan, it's not so wonderful, unless you're an Artic tern. While I'm half-full when it comes to the Hawkeyes, I can always point out the half-empty when it comes to other schools (unless it's iowa state, in which case it is perpetually just empty).

Of course the easy one is pointing out NW's half empty home stadium on game days.
