Neuter the Nits

This team played Purdue to 8 points in Indiana and a 2 point game against Michigan in Bryce Jordan so this was a good chance to be a tough game. They are the youngest team in the conference and up and down but they can play some ball at times. Had something else to say but won't be a jinx lol!

Tie it up or 3 for the win???

HATE Iowa at PSU! Too many bad losses there!
Now understand why Hausen wasn't playing:rolleyes:
Thot with this better D, the days of poor shooting teams magically finding their shot against Hawks were over:mad:
Another horrible loss (and 3 more in next 3 or 5 games) ... Hello 10 seed!

Stuck on that 8/9 seed line now. Don’t see them beating Nebraska or Michigan next week.

terrible loss. Wouldn’t be surprised if we played our way onto the bubble.

Alas

Gotta give the Lions credit for a well played game

Kinda tough to travel and play an early game on the road

Best chance for a win the last two games is probably against Michigan at Carver and they
are a legitimate Final Four team

A win at Nebraska will be impossible

Need one win in the Big Tournament to guarantee a trip to The Dance

The Dance is probably in the bag though

Is there some different ball they use at home PSU. Michigan only scored 74 then 110 at home and way different. We have decent D. How can they shoot 64% and 60% from 3? Something odd. I know our field goal defense isn't hot but PSU is like 351st so what explains the near 20% difference today?

Playing to the level of the competition
I wish. I don't remember shooting 64% from the field (60% from three!). You give up those percentages and you're looking at a loss. As usual. we created a monster with Josh Reed suddenly becoming superman today. Too bad. We really needed this win for our B1G Tournament seeding.

IMO the play that impacted the game late was the no foul call with about 4 minutes or so left when the official called the ball off Stirtz knee despite obvious contact to Stirtz arm from the PS player knocking the ball loose. Despite the official having clear sight directly in front of him.

Not being able to score the last 4 minutes until we got the layup with 8 seconds left didn’t help either

If you look at our recent road games, our defense has been pretty bad. No excuse for the high percentage shooting that we gave up today. Poor close-outs on three point shooters and we gave up too many drives to the basket (again). Defense is supposed to travel but we don't seem capable lately.

Hope you are right about 10 seed. No way we beat Michigan just wat to talented. Probably have a better chance at Nebraska as they aren’t overly talented but realistically looking at 2 losses maybe ugly. They may well need one in the Big Ten tournament
No interest in playing in NIT
