Is this the NCAA’s #1 evaluation tool? I assume it is but don’t know for sure. Anyway the 1st ranking came out this week...is updated daily.

4 - IL
5 - MI
8 - IA
12 - WI
19 - RUT
31 - MN
32 - MD
36 - OSU
39 - PSU
45 - PUR
50 - IN
55 - NW
120 - MSU
184 - NE

16 - Drake
117 - Duke
143 - Kentucky

Note - I’m a Kenpom guy. But if this is the NCAA’s primary tool...or simply 1 of their tools...it matters.

Yes, this is their #1 tool. It puts more weight on road wins vs Quad 1 and 2 teams, and neutral-site wins. Maybe they will stop tweaking it now.

Based on these rankings if it's putting us at what would now be a #2 seed, I'm confused how Duke would end up playing us in the sweet 16 or elite 8. Or would they not be participating in this years tournament as they are only playing conference games due to covid?

Yeah, that's a head-scratcher. Just remember, nothing is written in stone for the tourney this year. We could see a 32, 16, 8, or 4 teams March Madness.
