Mackey Madness

Iron sharpens iron and you don't get better smacking around Penn State and NW. I'm glad these games are at the beginning of the season where they can get some use out of a tough matchup with 7 footers and point guards who can fly.

It's like putting a donut on a bat in the on deck circle. Even if it's all in your head, that bat feels lighter and faster when you get in the box.

When I ran track in HS, some of us wore 2-3 lb ankle weights around all day the day of a meet. Not sure we ran faster when we took them off, but it sure felt like it.

I don't know...when Stirtz has the ball at the top of the key, there's still a lot of standing around the perimeter and passing it around until about 6-8 seconds remaining on the shot clock, then guys start moving faster -- altho their movement often doesn't seem to have any particular purpose...usually leading to rushed shots. I don't see that at a recipe for victory against the top 1/2 of the BTen conference.
They have that initial action where a guard goes sideways across the court parallel with the FT line to pass to them on the wing that seems so unnecessary. Sometimes with the defender trailing on it it's a tough pass to even make and they've had some dumb TOs on it. Most offenses start with guards coming to the passer not fading away from him like that. It's just different to me I guess I can't remember really seeing that before being done alot

They pass up a lot of open shots hoping for an easier bucket later in the shot clock. That often backfires.

I was hoping that we would be getting more production from Folgueiras thus far into the season!
I was hoping that someone, whether it be Folgueiras or any other player, would step up and be a constant Robin to Stirtz's Batman. We need someone we can count on to provide some game to game scoring, as we do Stirz.
