Are you OK?IOWA SHOULD GET PURPLE JERSEYS SO ALL THESE PURPLE RIBBONS DONT SHOW!!!! WHAT A BULLSHIT SOFT SQUAD OF PHONIES
Because u seem to fail to grasp my stance of appreciating the effort and accepting the results are what they are. Why are u so intent on psychoanalyzing some ulterior motive that simply doesn't exist? You don’t have to say it, your posts show it.
And if you have to qualify all your statements to tell everyone you’re not bagging on the Hawks, it probably means you’re bagging on the Hawks. Other wise why would you have to backtrack and explain your posts?
Maybe tell us anywhere where any poster here has said, or even implied, that this thing against Purdue or the Illinois game was a moral victory?
Tight losses against teams that are clearly bigger, faster, more experienced and better teams than Iowa…you keep ranting on and on about moral victories but literally no one here is calling it that. That leads me to believe that that shit is in your head. Not anyone else’s.
It sucks but they played so well and they came up short tonight. But, when there was about 3-4 minutes left I remember looking at this objectively and stated to my wife "Well, they played this game a lot closer than I thought they would". There were some pretty ticky tac fouls called like the subtle "push offs" on the picks and guys going straight up and getting a foul called but we know by now Iowa is not going to really get any calls against those kinds of teams and in those environments this year.Saying a tight loss against a clearly better and bigger team has to be dogshit if it isn’t a win is a stupid, tired trope.
Literally no one is ever calling a loss a “victory “ moral or otherwise. Tired, overused cliche like the rubes who rant about “participation trophies” and “purple ribbons.”
The lead is obviously not going to hold but it doesn’t mean Iowa sucks if it doesn’t. And being pleased with a team playing well but still losing doesn’t make one a homer. You’re the same way with football.
You can call Iowa fans dunces for not thinking their team sucks after a loss but it’s no different than the miserable c*nts out there who go straight to, “we suck, no moral victories.” It’s just an old character trope all the same.
Ol’ TJ is now on my ignore list. He is a fraud. He is a phony.
couldn't hold a 9 point lead
I don't know...when Stirtz has the ball at the top of the key, there's still a lot of standing around the perimeter and passing it around until about 6-8 seconds remaining on the shot clock, then guys start moving faster -- altho their movement often doesn't seem to have any particular purpose...usually leading to rushed shots. I don't see that at a recipe for victory against the top 1/2 of the BTen conference. The last two losses we seem to play well for the majority of the game. There has been a 5-7 minute lull where we had turnovers and fouls (some silly) that have prevented us from winning. We really came out ready to play last night, no complaints there. I think we are due for a full 40 minute good, solid game. It is tough on the road where we've seen we don't get any breaks. But this teams just feels on the verge of some breakout performances.
Yeah, I really like his game and he has potential to be a special player. I wish McC would design some plays specifically for him early each game, to get him going. And run more sets for him.I was hoping that we would be getting more production from Folgueiras thus far into the season!
The guy who piled on Stirtz had every intention to try to injure him. It was blatant and he should have been ejected.
I really wish Bennet was not saddled with end of shot clock hail Mary’s . He is constantly double teamed and made to look bad. Not his fault.
