Mackey Madness

You, @BigD, @longtimer, @STILLBUSTER should start a club.
Ummm...If Iowa wins, it'll be a great win and show they can actually finish up to potential, not just "be competitive and capable".
Iowa is a very good team, best in years, complete bball, pleasure to watch and I haven't complained about a single player or coach all year. I still want them to actually win after such effort.
Please don't gloss over my actual stance vs actual results for no other reason but to be a dick.

And if they lose you’ll go back to your “they suck” bullshit.

Your stance changes depending on whether they win or not, hombre. It’s not just me who laughs at it. You’re a total schizo fan and not in a fun way.

GTFO, man. You don’t even know what you are talking about. You can question my fandom all you want. Don’t give a f*ck, not going to be a Homer.
Saying a tight loss against a clearly better and bigger team has to be dogshit if it isn’t a win is a stupid, tired trope.

Literally no one is ever calling a loss a “victory “ moral or otherwise. Tired, overused cliche like the rubes who rant about “participation trophies” and “purple ribbons.”

The lead is obviously not going to hold but it doesn’t mean Iowa sucks if it doesn’t. And being pleased with a team playing well but still losing doesn’t make one a homer. You’re the same way with football.

You can call Iowa fans dunces for not thinking their team sucks after a loss but it’s no different than the miserable c*nts out there who go straight to, “we suck, no moral victories.” It’s just an old character trope all the same.

First year coach, roster of 100% kids who’ve never played power conference basketball before hanging with Purdue but they suck and this is a moral victory…
Dude! NO ONE says they suck. I certainly don't. But there's no denying another loss would be another moral victory ... Just like any mid-major team (i.e. the Iowa BullHawks) would be pushing these ranked teams to the limit. Geez.

You’ve said “purple ribbon” 37 fuckin times the last couple weeks talking about Iowa basketball but you want us to believe you don’t think they suck? Keep playing the semantics game.

That is how you feel, dawg…rock on man. You can question my Hawkeye fandom all you want…really don’t care.

I have NEVER said any player, coach or this collective team has sucked. The worst I said is they're methodical offense is getting easier to disrupt and defend and, as expected, they're prolly overrated as the season goes on. Always followed up with what I repeatedly say - Most enjoyable to watch in years due to intensity on both ends. Just lacking the ability to get over.

Maybe tell us anywhere where any poster here has said, or even implied, that this thing against Purdue or the Illinois game was a moral victory?

Tight losses against teams that are clearly bigger, faster, more experienced and better teams than Iowa…you keep ranting on and on about moral victories but literally no one here is calling it that. That leads me to believe that that shit is in your head. Not anyone else’s.

You don’t have to say it, your posts show it.

And if you have to qualify all your statements to tell everyone you’re not bagging on the Hawks, it probably means you’re bagging on the Hawks. Other wise why would you have to backtrack and explain your posts?

Do you understand the p.r. phrase?? Doesn't mean sucks, means compete hard but can't win. Facts is facts. I don't knock the effort and completely understand the results.
