At least the Start.
Agreed, and with the inexperience we have in both QB's, it's doubtful one would be able to absorb/survive the beating they're going to get in the Big Ten run. We need them both and Sullivan needs to be ready also. They all will will be needed.I'm good with that
Even if he was the cemented #1.
At least with the data I have from watching 1 game.
But, I would also absolutely hope they use Heck, at least sparingly. 2 reasons....
1. some additional experience and opportunity
2. with some specific QB run/throw options. Great opportunity to inject some chaos into a defense
Thanks for the warning! (He He)Hey I finally remembered my password.
He was like 5/6 or 6/7 last week blitzed so we have seen him respond great! Not a surprise after his hot start last week and ability to execute scripted plays.
But holy cow, if I'm Iowa State I'm bringing a different blitz just about every down the first couple series.
We've never seen him respond positively to pressure vs Indiana and on Kids' Day -- let's hope today is different.

I don't see the effect of great advantage of "scripted plays " the deal is to execute them! I don't see much of an advantage over Heck on that part. the coaches are calling all the plays anyway. Not a surprise after his hot start last week and ability to execute scripted plays.

21 of 30 for 191Brown played a nice game.
I wish the schedule would have been: UNI, NIU, ISU in that orderThe more I look at the Iowa schedule, the more I think they should let it play it self out. Michigan looks beatable by playing straight up Kirk ball. OSU/Washington are the 2 games where you need the quarterback to be a difference maker. I’m kinda over the quarterback competition…IMO, they are going to win games like they always have.
I’m leaning toward a B21 of 30 for 191
Solid, but mostly unimpressive.
No picks. One close one. Fortunately it was tipped at the line.
No sacks. Only got knocked down once? And he might even have completed that one. I don't remember.
No bad decisions. Quite good ones at times.
Runs well enough for what he is.
He owes Diaz at least a brunch at Bluebird.
No help from the running game.
