This is a nice story. Sometimes we forget these guys are just kids trying to figure out life. The kid was displaced by hurricane Katrina. Migrated up to Iowa for college, had a scholarship, and was contributing. But youthful exuberance led him to believe he might be happier playing more at a smaller school down south. Apparently, he must have missed the team last year. Now he is willing to presumably take-out loans and pay for his his own way to be on the team for his senior year. Hopefully he enjoys himself, gets an education, and can get out on the field on special teams or make the 2-deeps.
