Kids Day 7 on 7 Highlights

The passing game does look depressing. It allows everybody on defense to play up and makes the run game more difficult. I hope they are keeping the real offense secret for now. Wishfull thinking?

You can't throw deep when you can't protect the QB. It looks like the DL is ahead of the OL. Let's of direct lines to the QB. Either the DL is in good shape or we need our OL to make some serious progress. Run blocking looked pretty good though...sound familiar.

This was 7 on 7. I've posted extensive highlights from 11 on 11. More than 12 minutes. Watch them for better representation of the day. Thanks.

I think the big thing that everyone is missing when looking at the highlights is that Young seems to be an actual threat out of the backfield to catch the ball. When was the last time that we had our power back have decent hands out of the backfield?

That actually gives me a lot of hope at the RB position for the next few years.

8 men in the box how has that been different from the other 17 years?

I realize Iowa's passing game was hot garbage last year, but some of you need to relax. Iowa actually does a good job of getting 1st year starting QB(s) prepared to play. Can we hold off on the panic button for a little while longer?
