I've tried staying up as long as possible but I'm not a night owl (purposely anyway) and I'm miserable trying to stay awake. Sounds like you already stay up fairly late anyway.
I've tried eliminating all caffeine and that doesn't seem to work wither. I don't drink coffee in the morning but a 20oz diet Dew is my coffee and breakfast. I've been OMAD for a few years now and health wise it's helped a ton. No breakfast and either a late lunch or supper but not both.
But sleeping...that's where I get my ass kicked. Went to bed at 9:00 last night, was awake from 1:30 to 4:30. And the sleep I got from 4:30-6:30 when I got up was so shitty I wouldn't even call it sleep.
I'm 45 and when I've talked to other people they say it generally gets worse as you age anyway, some older folks I talked to said they just get up and don't fight it, and when they get tired again they go back to bed. That's why I said when I retire (if I live that long) I suppose I'll just get up and start going through and organizing tackle boxes or something and watch TV lol.
