He really picked up his production.
Double figures scoring in 7 of the 10 and 6 of the last 7 (including last 5)
In the prior 19 games he reached double figures only 6 times with two scoreless games.
In those last 10 games he's also had ~1/2 of his total assists for the year.

It just so happens in those last 10 games we had 3 of our 4 conference wins

Yes, Imentioned this a few weeks ago too. Cole's last 10-15 games was the best streak of his career. He played the best ball at the end of his career.

If this was mentioned a "few weeks ago" that would have been odd time to bring this up as he wouldn't have been far removed from 2 scoreless games in a row and other games with 3-5 points. Either way you had the foresight to see better days ahead for Jarryd Cole and for that you should be commended.

Senior Bump. I really think it is a reality. Iowa has not had enough seniors in the program of late to really get the benefit.
Down the stretch of this season in the league, look at who has been hot:
ETwuan Moore- average over 22pts a game the last 9.
JuJuan Johnson- leading the league in scoriing at 21/gm
Jon Diebler- hits ten straight 3 pointers the other nite on the road.
Jordan Taylor- only a junior, but plays like a senior, has 39 on the road this week.
Kalin Lucas- has been on fire the last half of the league season, over 22pts game.
Even the Illini's seniors have caught fire of late, scoring 68 pts vs Iowa, and big games at Purdue and yesterday vs IU.

It is important to keep players on the roster thru the whole 4/5 years, and get the benefit of that last big push...next year,Iowa will start to really get that with Gatens,Cartwright,Brommer, and Archie all motivated by that last big push for a tourny bid.
