Jack Reacher in Nebrakska

If you're familiar with the Jack Reacher series, be Lee Child, you might know that one of the books "Worth Dying For" is set in rual Nebraka. Like all the books, he's passing though, and finds himself contending with a local criminal enterprise full of very bad people. He solves investigates, destroys and shuts down the bad guys.

In this book, the bad guys have former Nebraksa football players (known as Cornhuskers) on staff to serve as enforcers. Big tough guys that often weark N letter jackets (hillarious). Reacher beats the shit out of each one of about 12 of them.

I imagine if this particular book makes it to film, it would be a lot of bad P/R for NU. It would be fun.

Alan Ritchson who plays Jack Reacher in the tv series looks the part…Tom Cruise in the movie version does not.

No way little red would allow they're logo used like that but a red and white "nebraska State" team would be enough to drive the point home.

As you know the new season has dropped on PRIME.

I relistened to 61 hours. Enjoyed it a lot. The book Worth Dying For" (Nebraska) follows this. You know its hard to really follow a book when listening at night in bed. Too many times if all asleep and have to pick up again. This one I am glad I did.

Now I'm listening to The Affair, set in Mississippi. Usually Reacher gets the girl. The descriptions are usually pretty high level and tame. In this one, his encounter with the Sherrif lady is quite long and more explict than other Reacher books

I'm skeptical of the books written by his son. Some of these authors end up creating a franchise of books / themes that end up drifting from the orginal author in my opinion.
