It’s Officially a Huge Weekend for the Hawkeyes

Lukas Van Ness is on board.

I wasn't aware of him at all, but, reviewed some tape. He reminds me a lot of Anthony Nelson at this stage of development.

Not a great natural athlete but uses his hands well, and, is relentless in pursuit.

I also could see him end up at OT. He's a bit "leggy" with the frame to add some serious bulk.

Up to 19 commits with Bracy this morning. Have to think the coaches are pretty happy with how the recruiting is going. Did a good job getting the instate guys early and already have the rest of the class close to complete with their targets and it’s still June. Some under the radar guys, some guys with decent offer lists.

With the final few scholarships available they can go hard after some of the 4* type guys in Joe Moore, Connor McLaughlin, Theo Johnson or Luke Lachey.

I am amazed at this current staff's efficiency. They are locking it down and getting kids that they want alot. Recruiting is going gang busters.

Looks like he does NOT have an OSU offer yet. He's from Columbus. The Bucks do not have a TE commitment yet, but are recruiting a few (that are ranked higher than Luke).

If you're a TE in the B1G footprint and you get an offer from Iowa....dude, what are you waiting for?

Kumbaya answer: sign with Iowa.
Real world answer: look at one of ~4 other B1G schools with a huge capacity to churn out NFL prospects at TE.

So Michigan, PSU, Wisconsin, and maaaaybe Minnesota.

OSU always promises their TE recruits that they're going to use them more in the upcoming seasons and never follow through.

Great weekend. Judging by the verbiage from the young men, seems like a blue collar, bring the lunch bucket type. Perfect fits
