Is there a reason we didn't offer this kid?

Well, he IS a '19 commit. We currently have only four '19 commits, and two of those are 4* o-linemen. He has only a verbal to ISU and not had any campus visits, so a lot can change.

*Haven't yet offered. Like Knight78 says, it's still early for him, considering we're still finishing the '18 class.

His only offer so far is ISU, so it remains to be seen how high on our board he is as well. Maybe we're going after some better targets. We have a decent chance at landing David Bell, considering he's good friends with both of the Tracy's and is constantly liking and retweeting their Iowa stuff.

Bell would be an insane get. Especially for Iowa given how awful our passing game has been for years now. At least Michigan's passing game hasn't been much better. Still tough to pull away from OSU or Michigan. We are a couple big play receivers away from a pretty potent offense.

Bell and St.Louis talent (especially Marcus Washington) would really go along way to building a strong WR core. Porter probably jumped to be the next Allen Lazard but Campbell is in for tougher sledding next year and the year after as Oklahoma, OSU, and Texas will up their games The Cyclones defense will take a major step backwards as 5 starters graduate. ISUcc will need to develop and support a new QB and OL (especially LT). The fumble record won't last although David Montgomery is a good RB and Butler is going to be the featured WR (Likely to turn pro after next year).

I woiuld not be surprised if Porter flips to Iowa but if not, Iowa could land some real talent at WR for a change. I think Iowa is going to recruit St. Louis more effectively.
