Iowa vs Illinois State Midweek Game

Illinois State comes into Duane Banks Field with a 17-22 record tonight to face the 26-14 Hawkeyes. Their record is deceiving as ISU does own wins over Arkansas, Purdue, Illinois, and Dallas Baptist. I hate calling this game a "must win" but since Iowa is on the bubble to reach the Regionals it's a game they cannot afford to lose, they would lose 63 RPI points with a loss.

Duncan Davitt will make his 4th start of the season, his first since March 21st.

Game will be televised on BTN+ or can be heard on the Hawkeye Radio Network. Game starts at 6:05 tonight, tickets are only $2 if you are in the area.

So far Iowa has pretty much been shut down. They have 2 runs but the first one they got because of 2 walks and a wild pitch, there was a double steal. Only 1 hit so far for Iowa and it’s tied 2-2 T5.

Down 3-2 in the 9th. Iowa hitters showing very little patience and swinging at bad pitches. I lost count how many check swing strikes they’ve had.
