Iowa purchased the NCAA Elite Eight Court for Carver Hawkeye Arena

The old court was installed in 2016. The court will still be named Mediacom Court. The Dept. will preserve the old court and plans to create a commemorative memorabilia for the fans and supporters. I might add that this is the court the Men's team played on.

So what you're saying is the shot never happened? The mark is in the exact same spot on the floor where it originally happened. That particular spot will still be there even if they tore down Carver. A new floor doesn't have anything to do with it. I know there's either a football or baseball stadium that was torn down that held a record and they marked the spot in the parking lot.

Fair enough. The spot is the spot forever. But if they took the old floor and moved it to another arena, would that also be "the spot" ?

This could be like Plutarch's Ship of Theseus thought experiment.
