Iowa only has 4 trophy games a year. Let's add some more and make the existing ones better.
The Iowa Hawkeyes and The Ohio St Buckeyes could play for the "two eyes" trophy for the 2 teams that have names that end with the word "eye".
Or maybe Iowa,Illinois, Indiana could have a traveling trophy called the "three eyes" trophy. A play on the fact that all three states start with the letter "i".
If they don't want a 3-team trophy, then Iowa and Illinois could play for the "Chief Blackhawk" trophy. Chief Blackhawk played an important role in both Iowa and Illinois history.
Iowa and Purdue could play for the "Leaders and Legends Most Hated Rival" Trophy. A reference to the time that Iowa and Purdue had to play as cross-division rivals every year under the old Leaders and Legends format.
Iowa and Michigan could play for the "Pink Locker room" trophy. A reference to how much Bo Schembeckler hated Iowa's pink locker rooms.
Iowa and Missouri could play for the "Honey War" Trophy. A reference to an early "battle" between thar Iowa and Missouri fought over the official border between the states.
Iowa and Iowa St could get rid of the Cy-Hawk Trophy and bring back the "Precious Moments" Trophy. A reference to the time they actually tried to replace the Cy-Hawk with a trophy that looked like a giant precious moments trinket.
Iowa Wisc should replace the Heartland trophy with the "Rusty Toolbox" Trophy, which is what the 2 staffs play for now, and I think is a cooler trophy then the real trophy.
And Iowa Nebraska should replace the "Heroes" Trophy with the "Real Cornhusker" Trophy. A reference to the fact that Iowa once called itself the cornhuskers before Nebraska did.
The only trophy I would not change is Iowa Minn "Floyd of Rosedale" Trophy. Also known as "Floyd the Pig" or "the bronze pig". Ok let's just change its name officially to "Floyd the Pig".
