I am getting excited for season of new items

Even after watching/listening to a lot of hawk fb for 55+ years still excited for the season. This is a year to be excited to see what new QB(s) can do, hope to see Wadley and Butler run wild behind a great Oline, and especially see BF and KOK bring some really good passing schemes to the offense.

The hawks have almost always had really good, salty run defense and I expect them to be pretty sound there. I am excited to see if they can get a really good pass rush, help out the secondary, and have another one of those very good scoring Ds.

What items are you excited to be watching for?
 
-Definitely the Wadley and Butler combo behind what is supposed to be one of the best O-Lines again.
-Stanley or Weigers as the starting qb and who will be catching passes?
-How will the corners look on defense?
-Will Epenesa play right off the bat?

Here's my hope that Iowa comes out of gate firing all their cyclinders , Go Hawks! Boom Ohio state Boom Meechigan and Meechuigan State Boom Wisconsic! and Maryland Rutgers

I'm excited to see a reinvigorated passing game, an improved OLine that can hold back the pass rush, and a team that can put some points on the board. I don't want to see an oatmeal eating contest.
 
I think this is the year that the Hawks finally get back to what made them great in the first place. A strong power running game, tight ends that can block, waggles, naked bootlegs, and play action passes!

I am too. Whomever the QB ends up being is #1 for me. The running game should be great but the ceiling for how good that'll be will depend some on the passing game. Can't be one dimensional like last yr or we'll have a good running game and still have a mediocre record.

I agree I think Iowa's front 7 overall will be great and the strength of the team overall. I hope they can provide enough pressure to make the secondarys job easier. Covering those fast WRs for 2 seconds is a whole lot easier than 3 plus....
 
I'm really hoping to we have a good punter. It would also be great if the new punter could draw targeting penalties, like our last one could.
 
Exciting isn't exactly the right word. Maybe eager is better. I'm eager to see how the O-line and RBs fit into an offense with question marks at QB and WR. If the other positions are halfway decent, this could be a powerful offense. If not, then uh oh.
