If I understand the new Roster Settlement Iowa will have to shed some members of the team starting with player 106. Of course those that used up eligibility will be leaving, so that will accomplish some of required reduction. I'm sure Iowa can count on some players going into the transfer portal. On the positive side they will be adding a freshmen class.
The other element Iowa will have to deal with is recruiting from the transfer pool. Which scholarship players will Iowa cut in order to bring in an NIL level player?
It will be interesting. BTW , Iowa's current roster size is 131 and there are 25 seniors.
