Unfortunately it sounds like she and her family were involved in a car/pedestrian accident while in Louisville last night. A poster on another board confirmed it was them in this article. Another poster said Ava and her mom are in critical condition.

Police arrest driver after a vehicle hits 4 people in downtown Louisville

Louisville Metro Police officers detained a driver after a vehicle hit three adults and one child by 2nd and Market streets Thursday.

Ava was in Louisville for the AAU tournament when they were hit by a car. Latest updates have her parents in critical condition and Ava was in serious, but stable condition. The driver was listed as impaired at the time.

My unconfirmed information is that Ava had a trachea tube inserted. It is unpleasant, but barring some sort of serious infection shouldn’t have any long term debilitating effects.wishing her a speedy recovery.
