LET'S GO HAWKS!!!!

Iowa got it down to 2 strikes, 2 outs, and the ball gets hit to the shortstop and he muffed it. Still T9 and the score is tied up 5-5

Bigtime bullpen problems. Brecht looked good in the 2nd game on Saturday, and that was about it for the bullpen the entire weekend. Key moment in game 2 on Saturday: Iowa up 4-1 in the 7th inning...Ilinois has runners on 1st and 2nd. A hit back to the pitcher, who calmly turns to throw to 2nd base to start the double play -- and literally lobs it halfway to the center fielder! Instead of 2 outs with a runner on 3rd base, it's bases loaded with no outs. And the Illini tie the game in that inning.

That play ended up being the difference in the game.
