Thanks for the update, Guffus. Draft/free agency makes Iowa look good.

most pleasant surprise was Wetgen going in 4th round IMO. How can you not root for the dude!

A bit off topic but relevant

Pavia making a continued @ss out of himself.
The last Hesiman runnerup not to be drafted, before Pavia, was Brad Banks.

Here are the schools with the longest active NFL Draft streaks with a pick, following the 2026 draft:

Michigan and USC: 1939, 88 years

Florida: 1952, 74 years

Miami (FL): 1975, 51 years

Notre Dame and Iowa: 1978, 48 years

LSU (1994), Oklahoma (1996) and Ohio State (1999) have the next-closest active streaks. Wisconsin's streak, going back to 1979, just ended after no former Badgers were selected in 2026.

But....but.....how about Nebraska?? Aren't they one of the greatest programs in U.S. history??

:)

The Tennessee Titans have extended a rookie mini-camp invitation to former Iowa football starting quarterback Cade McNamara.

I give McNamara about a 0% chance of making the Titans roster.
