Iowa Hawkeyes women’s basketball tops Nielsen’s list with unmatched reach and momentum. The program has nearly 570,000 followers, including 288,000 on Instagram. Their game against Iowa State drew 1.03 million viewers, while the 2024 title game peaked at 24 million, redefining audience ceilings.

Even though Caitlin Clark has moved on, I think Iowa still plays a style that is very appealing to the average fan and is very fun to watch. Very unselfish often finishing with over 20 assists a game . They also like to run making for a more fast paced game.

Only downside is that too many watched that stinker against UCLA…….
That will be behind us and forgotten when this year is finished. If anything ucla took a hit by running the score up. Not a good look for them. They linebacker of a coach needs to remember they will be in Carver ne
ext season.
One other thing. I hope they get ousted before the final four!

Feather in the cap for Jan. She's not only kept the boat in the water since taking over for Bluder but she's been putting her stamp on it and has em in an amazing place.

Back up to the beginning of this season. The were expected to be kinda middle of the packish if not the lower part of the BIG. 7th-8th I think was common some had us lower. Some had us barely ranked in top 20ish most didn't at all.

So we lose Taylor when we did and then go on that west coast trip and have our asses handed to us. Things didn't look great then they figured it out and here we are. A top 10 team with a 2 seed. Are we in the same class as the UConns and UCLAs? No there's still another level for us to get to but damn it we are pretty good still.

Michigans coach openly said they didn't want to see us again we obviously have their number and that's a top 10 team too.

Agree- thought it was pretty bush league. I would like to see them upset, but the prospect of Uconn beating them by 30 points is something to consider. Not that Uconn is my favorite, but for this matchup they would be......

I have no issue with how UCLA ran up the score on Iowa. Its not like the UCLA coach kept the starters until the last minute. No starter played more than 31 minutes. Betts played only 24 minutes. What was the UCLA coach supposed to do? Tell her bench players not to shoot?

But I agree the Iowa players will remember this loss in the future when the tables are turned.

I agree. They are just ridiculously deep with future pros all over the place. Betts wasn't even their top player production wise. That pg of there's is just too big and athletic for Chit-Chat. She just had her way with her. They are one of the few teams that really exploited how small Chit-Chat is on D and I think that affected her on O too cause she didn't play like her normal self at that end of the floor either.

Iowa let things snowball on em that game and that's on us. It's not UCLA to have mercy on us. This is top level competitive hoops.

Its just so weird that Iowa can do so well defensively against a team like Michigan and Iowa can do virtually nothing defensively against UCLA.

There is a certain vibe about UCLA especially since John Wooden's reign

He won 10 national Championships in 12 years

The Wizard of Westwood

It is not deserved now but their women's basketball teams are Very Good
