Golf outing rumors

Number of golfers from outing are repeating rumors that Iowa QBs are equally bad. Of course I never believe golfers on the course but I have to admit it adds to the fear we are going to have a pretty good team with the worst QBs in the Big Ten
 
Without any context as to whether your golfing companions have any insider information, I would surmise that they are stating what seems obvious from report, that neither can separate from the other. Add to that what we have seen publicly from Brown (yips, bad feet, bad accuracy), and the fact that Heck seems to suck in practice, and its not hard to say we have two bad QBs.

I go back to what we all saw on Kids Day. Heck put on the best performance of any QB in the history of KF's Kid's Day. It did not look fluky and even if it was against a banged up first team and a lot against the second team, this is still Iowa's D run by Parker that has always owned the offense on every Kid's Day.

I can see the pessimism, but I don't think your golfing buddies, the fans, or even the coaches will know what we really have until we see them both play in live action.
 
We have elite TEs and a great offensive line. Just throw the dang ball to the tight ends on play action as the other team's LBs protect against our tough running game. This won't be that complicated. He'll play Hecklinski because he is the more mobile of the two. Heck is simply Grono minus 25 pounds.

It will be the same offense as last year.

I'm not worried about the offense at all.

I'm worried about our defense.

That thought crossed my mind.
 
Now, if what I’m hearing on the pickleball courts is correct… I heard with the new eligibility rules Trey Stross is returning for a 5th year. If that’s the case we won’t even need a QB just throw it up he’ll get it and score.
